What should I do if my water heater is leaking from the top?
If water is leaking from the top, shut off the cold-water valve and power. Use the breaker for electric and set gas control to off/pilot.
- Dry the top and check inlet/outlet nipples and flex lines.
- Inspect the T&P valve connection and the anode/cap.
